Activation of race number with the transponder
Click on
‘Activate Race Number’ and insert your personal data, race number and security code. Agree to the terms and conditions and finish the activation by clicking the ‘Activate’ button. You are good to go after you have received an ‘Activation successful’ notification.
Starting the race
Handle the race number with care, avoid folding. Attach to the seat post according to the instructions provided (adhesive). The start and finish points in the mountains are clearly visible on the edge of the road. They are also shown on the postcards of the starter package. Please pay attention to anything (including people) obstructing the antennas. Riding in the slipstream is generally allowed as the stages are mountainous, as team rankings are available, and also due to the fact that team riders will also be included in the individual rankings, making distinction difficult. Recherching the data available allows us to exclude ficticious race times. Deceivers, as outlined in the terms and conditions, will be removed from the finisher lists. More general information can be found in the starter package.
We offer complete sporting fairness: you may restart the adventure Bergzeithelden at any time should you somehow be unable to cross the finish line due to a potential defect, challenging traffic, etc.
Team Rankings
The registration process for team entries is essentially the same as for individual racers. The team name is the only additional information required. Make sure to enter each member’s team name correctly, otherwise the association with the team will not be made. Between 4 and 6 riders can constitute a team, the fastest 4 will be timed. All members of one team must start the race within 2hours and also finish the race within 2hours. In case a team member is unable to finish the race within this time frame, they would still be taking part in the individual race.
Team tip:
It may be better to have 5 or more riders in a team to allow for 1 falling out, as 4 riders are required to finish the race. The deal is for the last 2 of any team to pay for the beers. Certainly for ones without alcohol though.
